In Budapest, I spent Saturday, exploring the great market hall, and then the office took us for a boat cruise on the River Danube. Post the cruise, I walked down Vaci Utca, a lovely street great for people watching, relaxing with a beer, and shopping. Budapest is one of the cheapest European cities I have been to. Its people are warm and friendly, and the food is great. Our office put us up in these lovely luxury apartments in Boscolo Hotels, and I optimized my hotel time with a long, luxurious bubble bath, using a LUSH Bath Bomb. I usually make it a point to carry Bath Bombs for all my vacations.

My Apartment In Budapest
In Vienna, we roamed the lanes of the famous Nashmarkt, looking at the juicy fruits and yummy delectable delights that the market is so famous for. Later, Roseanne and I walked down the streets of Vienna, did some shopping and had a long, lazy lunch.

Am back in office now, and pretty exhausted. Just uploading a few pictures from the trip. Since it was a really short trip, I could not shop much. But will post pictures soon of the goodies I managed to bring back. Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend.
wow sounds and looks like you had a lovely time - love all of the photos they're gorgeous :)

ReplyDeleteBeen to Budapest (both Buda and Pest :) ) a couple of times, last time this April. But to be honest, I like Vienna more than Budapest.

It's a shame that you didn't have more time to explore the cities... I hear Budapest is a really beautiful city. I remember having the most delicious cakes in Vienna :)

Glad you had a great time in both cities! I've been to both and love them. Did you get a chance to have the famous Sacher cake in Vienna? In any case, you definitely need to go back for a longer time. A weekend is hardly enough, but it's good you got to see so much. Love the apartment by the way!

ReplyDeleteOh look at you!!! How beautiful you are and what a great time you had on your trip. :-))) I loved the apartment although I am usually not agreat fan of modern, clean lines. It usually makes me think of surgery believe it or not (My husband who is an Architect and a great lover of everything modern will confirm :-))
ReplyDeleteThank you so very much for your kind and heartfelt comment under my Rejection post. It was not a very easy post to write and I glad that I did because your ward of support lifted my spirits up. Thank you for being so kind and generous to me!
I love Budapest - it's been too long since I was there last. Can't wait to see all your awesome purchases.
