It’s all Vain and Vapid’s fault. Of late, there has been way too much food talk on her blog. So this post was just waiting to happen. I dug out some old pictures of one of the Food jamming sessions that Dhanya from Rainmakers, and I used to indulge in till last year. Her kitchen is always pretty well-stocked with supplies for the shack, so it’s not difficult getting ingredients to improvise.
So one day, we just sat and decided to do something special for dessert. I had just read about Ice Bowls and thought they were really cool, literally! So while the husbands sat discussing movies and arguing about world politics, Dhanya and I decided to make our first Ice Bowl.
The ice bowl was easy. We decided to adorn it with some slices of sweet lime and some mint leaves. While we were waiting for it to freeze, we decided to make a impromptu coffee dessert. So we added a little bit of this, a dash of that… sprinkle this, whisk and fold that… and voila! A dessert was ready. That too went straight into the deep freeze.
The results, as you can see below, were not too bad for a first attempt. I really feel that this is a great way to add some excitement to the dessert. Needless to say, the boys were thrilled beyond belief!
I am waiting for a slightly less work-loaded weekend, so Hubby and I can drive down to the shack. I really miss the Food jamming sessions with Dhanya. And being just too busy with my job, I hardly get time to do fun cooking at home.

Prati, dear,
this looks delicious, but I rather have more fashion!!!!!
besides, we are waiting for details of your birthday week....
Hi Goddess... I know, I know... Well, Hubby managed to lose my Camera wire. I have such lovely pix in there! Tomorrow being Saturday, he is being sent off to buy back the missing cord, so it should be back to Fashion soon. Till then, please bear with the Food talk.
Wow! That's really awesome and yummy looking. Perfect for hot summer days.
Oh and I don't really consider this new writing style a departure, I've written sort of "poetically" occasionally, I've just done several in a row lately. I'm glad you like the style though, I do wonder if people pay attention to what I say over what I take pictures of...
Clothes Horse: This is a problem you will always face with blogging, especially if you are perceived as a "fashion blogger". People love to "see" rather than read. But I do. I love the pictures, yes, but my favorite bloggers are invariably the ones who write well.
This looks wonderful--I can't believe it's your first try!
And belated happy birthday!!!
Wow! You made that from scratch? Nice job... and the ice bowl thingt sounds cool, I've never heard of that before. If you think my food post was bad, don't go to the "Pictures of Cake" blog. It's dangerous.
i just discovered your blog and wanted to wish you the success you deserve

Vain and Vapid: I will ensure that I play with "danger". I am surely craving a suger high!
SATC: Hey! I remember visiting your blog. It's awesome, though I can only read English. But the pictures speak for themself.
